ZooAve is nearby, and it´s a wildlife breeding and rehab center set in a zoolike atmosphere, with as much freedom and respect for the natural habitat of the animals as possible. Lovely gardens abound, it´s a haven for animal lovers and bird watchers.
VIVEROS
The area near the B and B is chock full of
viveros, or nurseries, veritable botanical gardens of foliage, flowers and trees (and they are free!!).
ARTISANS
Many locales of local crafts also abound near Jardin Tropical.
RESTAURANTS
The whole area of La Garita is filled with estate homes, and many typical restaurants, which along with the Viveros, attract many Central Valley residents on wekends, to buy plants and have lunch.
CASINO AND SPA
Also nearby is Resort and Casino Martino, a luxurious hotel which offers a Spa, a Casino, and a first class Italian restaurant.
